Associate Eileen Kwalea completes her Masters on mental health in Solomon Islands

Future Partners Associate Eileen Kwalea has completed her open-access Master's thesis on indigenising development and mental health in Solomon Islands.

Congratulations to Future Partners Associate Eileen Kwalea, who has completed her Master's thesis, "Indigenising Development and Mental Health Spaces in Solomon Islands", through Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.

Eileen's research explores what changes when development and mental health work in Solomon Islands is grounded in local knowledge and ways of being, rather than in imported frameworks — a question that runs through her work with communities across the Pacific. It's a thoughtful contribution to how locally led development is understood and practised in the region.

The thesis is open access, and you can read it in full through the university's research repository.
