Supporting Take My Hands

In New Zealand, most of us take easy access to healthcare for granted, but imagine living in a remote area where reaching a clinic requires a boat ride, only to find that the equipment is outdated or broken. For many families in the Pacific, this is a reality. This is where Take My Hands (TMH) steps in to make a difference.

TMH is committed to sending quality medical equipment to healthcare providers in the Pacific, ensuring those in need receive the care they deserve. This month, a shipment of vital medical supplies has left Auckland, bound for Nuku'alofa in Tonga. The Tonga Health Foundation will collect and distribute the supplies, focusing on child health and general care.

Thanks to the generosity of Cubro, which donated mobility equipment, and hospitals across Aotearoa, the container is filled with high-quality items, many of them nearly new. Once in Tonga, the equipment will be distributed to clinics, giving healthcare professionals the tools they need to provide proper care.

This initiative by TMH is transforming health outcomes for children and families in Tonga. By equipping clinics with reliable medical supplies, TMH is helping to build a healthier future for the Pacific Islands, reinforcing the belief that every child deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of where they live.

Future Partners are a proud supporter of Take My Hands and have donated regularly since November 2022. You can find out more about Take My Hands and donate to their mission on their website.
